The Works Of Hayashi Tadahiko - Capturing An Era

Hayashi Tadahiko was born in 1918 as the first son to the owner of a photography shop in Tokuyama, Yamaguchi prefecture. He continually took pictures, mainly for the garvure pages of magazines, during and after the second world war. His portrait photographs, especially those of novelists such as Dazai Osamu or Sakaguchi Ango, are renowned across Japan.
