Carhartt W.I.P

In 1889, Hamilton Carhartt founded his namesake company under the motto: “Honest value for an honest dollar.” The brand’s rugged apparel quickly became the standard raiment for blue-collar workers across the nation. Word of the workwear label’s durable designs eventually made its way across the pond; in 1989, German designers Edwin and Salomée Faeh launched Carhartt Work In Progress—a streetwear division targeted at consumers in Europe and Asia. Carhartt WIP continues to adapt and develop the company’s core product characteristics for a growing audience. With products ranging from canvas jackets, graphic tees, and hats to lifestyle gadgets and sporting goods, WIP’s extensive offering represents a multifaceted vision of modern Americana.
